Every member of the Nebraska National Guard is covered by $1,000 of state sponsored life insurance at no cost. You can buy up to $1,000,000 of total coverage across the plans, add your spouse and children, and keep the coverage at the same rate after you separate. Cover runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with no war or aviation exclusion. New recruits get $10,000 of coverage free for their first year if they enroll within 180 days of joining.
