Register on the NDVA Military and Veterans' Registry, then submit the DMV Application for Purple Heart License Plate with proof that you received the Purple Heart.

What you'll need

Your DD214 or award documentation showing the Purple Heart, and your discharge characterization if you are no longer serving.

Eligibility

You own or lease a vehicle registered in Nebraska
You were awarded the Purple Heart
You are currently serving, or you received an honorable or general (under honorable conditions) discharge
