Nevada In-State Tuition for Nonresident Veterans who were Stationed in Nevada when Discharged

You pay in-state tuition at Nevada state supported colleges and universities, even as a nonresident, if you were honorably discharged from active duty while stationed in Nevada. Being stationed at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center at Pickel Meadows, California counts.

Ask the admissions or registrar office at the Nevada state supported school you are applying to for in-state residency classification, and give them your discharge paperwork.

What you'll need

Your DD214 showing an honorable discharge and your duty station in Nevada at the time of discharge.

Eligibility

  • You are a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces
  • You were honorably discharged from active duty while stationed in Nevada, or while stationed at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center at Pickel Meadows, California
  • You are enrolled or enrolling at a Nevada state supported college or university
