Nevada Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

Nevada Department of Education, through the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3)
Enrollment, placement, eligibility and graduation protections for military children

Nevada belongs to the interstate compact that protects military children when frequent moves and deployments change their school. It speeds up enrollment when records have not transferred yet, keeps differences in attendance rules, scheduling, sequencing, course content, grading and assessment from setting your child back, protects eligibility for educational programs and extracurricular academic, athletic and social activities, and supports on-time graduation.

  • You are an active duty service member, or a service member medically discharged, retired or deceased within the last year
