Nevada Operation Recognition, Diplomas for Wartime Veterans

Standard Nevada high school diploma awarded

Nevada school districts can award you a standard high school diploma if you left high school to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. You can apply yourself, and the guardian of a disabled veteran or a family member of an eligible deceased veteran can apply on their behalf.

How to apply

Send the completed Operation Recognition application with a copy of the veteran’s certificate of honorable discharge or DD214 to the Nevada Department of Veterans Services, 555 E. Washington Avenue, Rm 3200, Las Vegas, NV 89101, or fax it to 702-486-3829. For help, call 775-486-3830.

What you'll need

A copy of the veteran’s certificate of honorable discharge or DD214, and the name of the Nevada high school attended before enlisting.

Eligibility

  • You served in the U.S. Armed Forces between September 16, 1940 and May 7, 1975
  • You received an honorable discharge
  • You attended a high school in Nevada before enlisting
  • You left high school before receiving your diploma
