Nevada State Employment Veterans Hiring Preference

Nevada Division of Human Resource Management
Hiring preference for Nevada state jobs, ranked by category

You get a preference when you apply for a Nevada state job. The order runs veterans with a service-connected disability first (the highest preference), then veterans, then the surviving spouse of an active duty service member killed in the line of duty, then members of the U.S. Armed Forces Reserves or Nevada National Guard, then a deceased veteran’s surviving spouse.
