Check eligibility

How to apply

Contact your nearest Veterans Services Officer, or call 603-624-9230. The municipality where the veteran died pays the cost, so the town or city office is involved as well.

What you'll need

The veteran's DD214 showing wartime service and an honorable discharge, proof of New Hampshire residency, and documentation of financial need.

Eligibility

  • You are a New Hampshire resident
  • You received an honorable discharge
  • You served at least 90 days during a wartime period, or you were discharged after less than 90 days because of a service-connected disability
  • You are in need and cannot pay for burial
