Free Tuition for Children of New Hampshire Resident Service Members Killed-in-Action or who Died from a Service-Connected Disability

New Hampshire Community College System and the University System of New Hampshire
Up to $2,500 per year for four years

You can receive a scholarship of up to $2,500 a year for four years at a New Hampshire Community College, or at a college or university in the University System of New Hampshire, if your parent was a New Hampshire resident killed during wartime service or who died from a disability caused by that service.

How to apply

Call 603-862-0355 to start the application, and contact the admissions office of the New Hampshire public school you plan to attend.

What you'll need

Your parent's death certificate or DD1300 Report of Casualty, documentation linking the death to wartime service, proof your parent was a New Hampshire resident when they died, proof of your relationship to them, and proof of your own New Hampshire residency and age.

Eligibility

  • You are the child of an eligible veteran
  • Your parent was killed while serving on active duty during a recognized wartime period, or died from a disability that resulted from that service
  • Your parent was a New Hampshire resident at the time of their death
  • You are a New Hampshire resident
  • You are between the ages of 16 and 25
