New Hampshire Veterans Home

New Hampshire Veterans Home
Intermediate and long-term care, with your room and board contribution set by your assets

The state runs a 250 bed intermediate and long-term care facility in Tilton for eligible New Hampshire veterans, with hospice and palliative care. Services include nursing care, physical therapy, dietary services, social work, spiritual care and recreational activities. Your assets determine what you contribute toward room and board, with a one-year financial look-back; a house is not counted as an asset if your spouse, partner or dependent lives in it.
