New Jersey Active Military Service Property Tax Deferment

Local New Jersey municipal tax assessor or tax collector
Property tax payment deferred until 90 days after deployment or mobilization ends

You can put off paying the property tax bill on your home while you are deployed or mobilized for active duty in a time of war. You then have 90 days after your deployment or mobilization ends to pay. The deferment covers property you own on your own or with a spouse or civil union partner. It does not cover tax that was already delinquent before you deployed, and it does not cover sewer, water, electricity or other municipal charges. Interest on a late deferred payment is charged back to the original due date.
