New Jersey License, Registration and Inspection Document Extensions for Deployed Service Members

New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC)
Licence, registration and inspection documents remain valid for the whole deployment

Your New Jersey driver licence, vehicle registration and inspection requirements are automatically extended while you are deployed on active duty, and the same applies to your immediate family. The documents stay valid for as long as you are deployed. Once you demobilize, you have 90 days from your demobilization date or return from duty to renew anything that expired. This covers activated New Jersey National Guard and Reserve members.
