Pension credit for post-October 13, 1994 military service, counting toward your allowance if you pay the contributions

You can receive New Jersey pension credit for military service performed after October 13, 1994 while you were already enrolled in a state retirement system. The credit counts toward your eligibility for benefits, and it counts toward your actual retirement allowance only if you pay the pension contributions for your period of military service.
