New Jersey Veterans Tuition Credit Program and Vietnam Veterans Tuition Aid Program

New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DVA)
$400 per year full time, $200 per year part time

You can get part of your tuition at a New Jersey public college or university reimbursed if you served during the Vietnam conflict. The maximum reimbursement is $400 a year if you study full time and $200 a year if you study part time.

What you'll need

Your DD214 showing an honorable discharge and service dates between December 31, 1960 and May 7, 1975, proof of New Jersey residency, and your school enrollment and tuition records.

Eligibility

  • You received an honorable discharge from active duty service in the U.S. Armed Forces between December 31, 1960 and May 7, 1975
  • You were a legal resident of New Jersey when you entered or were discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces, or you have been a New Jersey resident for at least two years immediately before you apply
  • You are enrolled at a New Jersey public institution of higher education
