If you are a nonresident service member or veteran in a rehabilitation programme that involves hunting, you pay resident prices for deer, elk, antelope, javelina, oryx and turkey licences. The programme has to be sponsored by the federal government or a recognised non-profit and be run under the direction of a military or VA rehabilitation centre.

Apply only through the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Santa Fe office at 1 Wildlife Way, Santa Fe NM 87507, phone 505-476-8000. This benefit is not available through the public drawing.

What you'll need

Proof of eligibility, including documentation of your rehabilitation programme and its sponsorship and direction.

Eligibility

  • You are a nonresident active duty service member or veteran
  • You are undergoing a rehabilitation program that involves hunting
  • Your rehabilitation program is sponsored by the federal government or a recognized non-profit organization and is directed by a military or VA rehabilitation center
