New Mexico In-State Tuition for Active Duty Dependents Whose Sponsor Is Stationed Outside New Mexico

New Mexico state-funded higher education institutions
In-state tuition rates for dependents of service members stationed elsewhere

You pay in-state tuition at a New Mexico state-funded school as the dependent of an active duty or National Guard service member on federal active duty, even when your sponsor is not stationed in New Mexico. You do not need to be using a federal education benefit, but you do have to show you intend to become a New Mexico resident by transferring your driver’s license, registering any vehicle titled in your name, and registering to vote in the state.
