In-state tuition rates regardless of residency

You pay in-state tuition rates at any New Mexico state-funded college, university, vocational school or vocational training program if you are using VA education benefits. Spouses and children using those benefits get the same rate.

Tell the admissions or veterans office at the school you are attending that you are using VA education benefits, and give them your Certificate of Eligibility.

What you'll need

Your VA Certificate of Eligibility for the education benefit you are using, and your DD214 or proof of your relationship to the veteran.

Eligibility

  • You are enrolled at a New Mexico state-funded college, university, vocational school or vocational training program
  • You are a veteran, or the spouse or child of a veteran
  • You are using VA education benefits
