The discount does not apply to application fees, licence vendor fees, administrative fees, duplicate licence fees, the federal duck stamp, or the resident disabled veteran combination licence.

How to apply

Buy the licence through the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish online licensing system, by calling 888-248-6866, or in person at a fishing or hunting licence vendor, and show your proof of service.

What you'll need

Proof of active duty status, or your DD214 showing an honorable discharge, plus proof of New Mexico residency.

Eligibility

You are a New Mexico resident
You have served at least 90 days on active duty and continue to serve, or you have served at least six continuous years in a reserve component and continue to serve, or you served at least 90 days on active duty or six years in a reserve component and received an honorable discharge
