New Mexico Veteran Transportation Service

Disabled American Veterans and the Southeastern New Mexico Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America, coordinated with NMDVS
Free transportation to and from VA medical appointments

Disabled veterans in northern and central New Mexico can get free rides between home and the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center or the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Albuquerque. Veterans in the southeast of the state can get free rides to a VA medical center or clinic through a separate programme.

How to apply

In northern and central New Mexico, call Disabled American Veterans at 505-256-2821. In southeastern New Mexico, call the Southeastern New Mexico Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America at 575-622-0729.

What you'll need

Your VA appointment details and, for the northern and central service, documentation of your disability.

Eligibility

  • You are a veteran living in northern, central or southeastern New Mexico
  • You need transportation to a VA medical center or Community Based Outpatient Clinic
