New York State Department of Veterans’ Services (DVS)

One booklet of farmers market checks per household

You can get a booklet of FreshConnect checks to spend on produce and other food at participating farmers markets across New York. Checks are issued first come, first served, generally between July and December, and one booklet is offered per household.

Call 888-838-7697 or visit a DVS Veterans Services Office and ask a Veterans Benefits Advisor for FreshConnect checks.

What you'll need

Proof of your service or of your relationship to the veteran or service member, which the Veterans Benefits Advisor will ask for.

Eligibility

You are an active duty service member, a veteran, an immediate family member of one, or the unremarried surviving spouse of a veteran
Your household has not already received a booklet this season
