North Carolina Differential Pay for Military Duty

North Carolina Office of State Human Resources
The difference between your military base pay and your state salary

If your military base pay is lower than your state salary while you are on active duty for more than 30 days, North Carolina pays you the difference. The comparison uses base pay without housing or subsistence allowances, and state salary without special pay such as shift premium.
