Resident pricing on hunting, fishing and trapping licenses

If you are a nonresident service member stationed in North Carolina, you, your spouse and your dependents under 18 living with you count as residents and pay resident prices for Wildlife Resources Commission licenses. Nonresident service members on active duty stationed outside North Carolina also count as residents for short-term and annual hunting, fishing and trapping licenses.

Buy your license at resident prices through Go Outdoors North Carolina or from a wildlife service agent, and show your orders and military ID.

What you'll need

Your military ID and orders showing your assignment.

Eligibility

  • You are a nonresident service member on active duty, or the spouse or a dependent under 18 living with one
  • You are stationed in North Carolina, or you are a nonresident service member on active duty stationed outside North Carolina
