$14 to $139 for a lifetime license, depending on which one you buy

Resident veterans with a VA disability rating of 50 percent or more can buy lifetime hunting and fishing licenses at reduced prices: inland fishing for $14, coastal recreational fishing for $14, combination hunting and inland fishing for $14, the sportsman license for $126, and the sportsman with coastal recreational fishing for $139.

How to apply

Have your application certified by the North Carolina Department of Military and Veterans Affairs first. Once it is certified, apply online at Go Outdoors North Carolina, or mail the application and payment to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, 1707 Mail Service Center, Raleigh NC 27699-1700.

What you'll need

The lifetime disabled veteran license application, your VA rating documentation showing 50 percent or more, and proof of North Carolina residency.

  • You have your application certified by the North Carolina Department of Military and Veterans Affairs
