North Dakota Veterans Treatment Court

North Dakota Court System, with the VA Veterans Justice Outreach program
Supervised treatment program in place of the ordinary criminal process

If you are facing charges in the state court system and need treatment, the veterans treatment court gives you a supervised route to that treatment instead of the ordinary criminal process. It is not a way out of the charges: it lasts at least 18 months and you have to follow the court’s rules, regulations and sanctions. You also have to disclose permanent change of station orders, deployments or other orders, and if you are serving, your commander has to confirm you will be reasonably available to take part.
