Ohio Commercial Driver License Testing Waivers

Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), Ohio Department of Public Safety
Knowledge and skills tests waived under Even Exchange, or the skills test waived under the Military Skills Test waiver

Ohio can waive commercial driver license testing based on your military driving experience. The Even Exchange program waives both the knowledge and the skills test if you worked in a qualifying military occupational specialty in the past year: Army 88M, 92F or 14T; Air Force 2T1, 2F0 or 3E2; Marine Corps 3531; or Navy EO. If you do not hold one of those specialties, the Military Skills Test waiver drops just the skills test if you were licensed in the last year on a military vehicle similar to the class you are applying for. Transfers of school bus and passenger endorsements are not allowed.
