You can work with staff dedicated to veterans and eligible spouses when you are looking for work, including Disabled Veterans Outreach Program specialists and Local Veterans Employment Representatives. Veterans get priority when services or resources are limited, and intensive one-to-one services are available if you face a significant barrier to employment such as a service-connected disability, homelessness, long-term unemployment, incarceration, no high school diploma or low income.
Register on EmployOklahoma. A Disabled Veterans Outreach Program specialist reviews new registrations, contacts you and assesses whether you qualify for intensive services. You can also visit your nearest Oklahoma Works office.
Your DD214 to establish veteran status and priority of service, plus your VA rating documentation if you are claiming a service-connected barrier to employment.
