Oklahoma Heroes Promise College Scholarship for Children of Deceased Service Members

Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education
Tuition at an Oklahoma public college or university for up to five years

Tuition is paid for you at an Oklahoma public college or university, or partly paid at an accredited Oklahoma private college or university or a public technology center, if your parent was a resident service member killed in the line of duty. You can use it for up to five years or until you finish a bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.

What you'll need

Documentation of your parent's death in the line of duty, proof of your relationship to them, proof that they filed an Oklahoma income tax return for the year before their death, and proof of your Oklahoma residency.

Eligibility

  • You are the child of a service member who was killed, or died from an injury received, in the line of duty after January 1, 2000
  • Your service member parent filed an Oklahoma income tax return for the tax year before their death
  • You are an Oklahoma resident
  • You enroll before you turn 21
