You can get controlled deer, elk and bear tags while you are home on leave in Oregon, even though the controlled hunt deadlines have passed. Tags go on a first come, first served basis, and each ODFW district can only issue tags for controlled hunts in its own area, so contact the district you want to hunt in to see what is left.
Take your documents to the local ODFW district office responsible for issuing the tag for the hunt area you want. The ODFW directory lists district offices.
A copy of your active duty military ID, a copy of your current leave papers, and a valid Oregon resident hunting license.
