Free Oregon Hunting, Angling and Shellfish License for Disabled Veterans

Free hunting, angling and shellfish combination license, with an elk tag for $25

You can get a free combination license covering hunting, angling and shellfish if you are an Oregon resident disabled veteran. An elk tag is available with it for a reduced price of $25. The license has to be renewed every year.

How to apply

Send the completed Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife application for the resident disabled veteran combination and shellfish license, with your disability letter, to ODFW at 4034 Fairview Industrial Drive SE, Salem OR 97302, or fax 503-947-6117, or take it in person. For questions call 503-947-6101.

What you'll need

A completed application and a letter from the VA or your branch of the U.S. Armed Forces showing an overall disability rating of at least 25 percent, plus proof of Oregon residency for the six months before you apply.

Eligibility

  • You have been an Oregon resident for at least six months before you apply
  • You have an overall disability rating of 25 percent or more from the VA or your branch of the U.S. Armed Forces
