Military funeral honors at no cost

Military funeral honors are arranged and coordinated free of charge for deceased service members and veterans. Every ceremony includes at least two uniformed service members, the playing of Taps, and the folding and presentation of the U.S. flag.

How to apply

Ask your funeral director to request military funeral honors; they contact the appropriate military service to arrange the honors detail.

What you'll need

The deceased’s DD214 or other discharge paperwork, and the funeral date, time and location.

The deceased was serving in an active or reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces, was a retired service member, or was a veteran
