Paid Leave for Louisiana Public Employees for Military Duty

Your Louisiana public employer, under state law
15 days of paid military leave per calendar year

You get 15 days of paid leave each calendar year when you are ordered to military duty or training as a Louisiana public employee serving in a reserve component. When you come back you have to be restored to your job with no loss of pay, time, annual leave or efficiency rating.

  • You are a Louisiana public employee
  • You are a member of the Louisiana National Guard or a U.S. Armed Forces reserve component
