Paid Leave for Minnesota State Employees for National Guard or U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Military Service

15 days of paid military leave per calendar year

As a Minnesota state employee serving in a reserve component you get 15 days of paid military leave per calendar year, for training and for federal or state active duty. You also keep your pay, seniority status, efficiency rating, vacation, sick leave and other benefits while you are on military leave.
