Paid Military Leave for Utah State Employees

15 days of paid military leave a year, in addition to vacation leave

If you work for the state of Utah and serve in a reserve component, you get 15 days of military leave a year at full pay for required military duty. That leave is on top of your paid vacation leave.

  • You are a Utah state employee
  • You are serving in the Utah National Guard or in the U.S. Armed Forces Reserves
  • You have orders for required military duty
