The Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Cemetery, also called the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, is the state’s only veterans cemetery. It is managed by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and sits on the campus of the Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home in Erie.

What you'll need

Your DD214 or other discharge paperwork showing release under honorable conditions, and confirmation that you are a resident of the Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home.

Eligibility

  • You served in the U.S. Armed Forces or the Pennsylvania National Guard
  • You were released or discharged under honorable conditions
  • You are a resident of the Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home at the time of death
