Recording of Discharges for Louisiana Veterans

Free recording of your discharge documents

A Louisiana Clerk of Court will record your honorable discharge documents free of charge. Once recorded they are confidential and cannot be shown to anyone except you or someone you designate. After your death they can be released to the executor of your estate, your surviving spouse or a family member who provides official documentation of your death.

Take your discharge paperwork to the Clerk of Court in your parish and ask to have it recorded.

Your DD214 or other honorable discharge documents.
