Reinstatement to your former position or an equivalent one

If you leave a Kentucky public employee position to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces and receive an honorable discharge, you must be rehired to your former position or one of equal seniority, status, pay and other rights and benefits. You have six months to return to your civilian job after a discharge during a time of war or a national or state emergency, and 90 days in peacetime or after hospitalization or treatment you received following discharge.
