If you are a State of Alaska employee in a reserve component and you are ordered to state or federal active duty, the state must restore you to your former position when your active duty service ends.

Give your agency’s human resources office your orders before you leave, then contact them to arrange your return when your active duty ends.

Your active duty orders, and your discharge or release paperwork when you return.

Eligibility

  • You are a State of Alaska employee
  • You are serving in the National Guard or the U.S. Armed Forces Reserves
  • You were ordered to state or federal active duty
