Outreach, assessment and case management for justice-involved veterans

If you become involved with the justice system, a VA Veterans Justice Outreach specialist can work with local courts, jails, law enforcement and treatment services on your behalf, to help you avoid unnecessary criminalization of mental illness, extended incarceration and further arrests. The specialists provide direct outreach, assessment and case management, and connect you to VA health care services.
