Right of Reinstatement for Ohio State Employees After Active Duty Service

Ohio Department of Administrative Services, Human Resources Division
Reinstatement to the same or a similar state position

If you are an Ohio state employee called to active duty, the state must reinstate you to the same or a similar position when you return, as long as you ask in writing within the deadline for your length of service. Service under 30 days means asking immediately on release; 31 to 180 days means within 14 days; more than 180 days with no known return date means within 90 days.
