SC Works Centers have staff trained to help service members and veterans find civilian work. You get priority employment services, including group and individual career coaching, job referrals, resume preparation and job training programs. Disabled Veterans Outreach Program representatives provide intensive case management for veterans who are economically or educationally disadvantaged, and Local Veterans’ Employment Representatives work with employers to open up jobs and training. For the first 24 hours a job is posted on SC Works Online Services, only veterans and service members can see and apply for it.
Visit your nearest SC Works Center and tell them you are a veteran or service member, or register on SC Works Online Services. You can also search jobs by your military occupational code through the South Carolina Veterans Portal.
