South Carolina Hunting and Fishing License Exemption for Resident Service Members Home on Leave

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR)
No hunting, freshwater fishing or saltwater fishing license needed while home on leave

If you are a South Carolina resident on active duty stationed outside the state, you can hunt and fish while home on leave without buying a hunting, freshwater fishing or saltwater fishing license. You still need permits for big game, migratory birds, migratory waterfowl and Wildlife Management Area land, and tags for antlerless deer and turkey, nongame fish devices, and taking shrimp over bait.
