If you are stationed in South Carolina or living here for 30 days or longer, you and your dependents can buy hunting and fishing licenses at resident rates even though you are not residents.

Buy your license through the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and present a valid military ID when you apply.

What you'll need

A valid military ID, and orders or other proof that you are stationed in or living in South Carolina for 30 days or longer.

Eligibility

  • You are a service member, or the dependent of one
  • You live in South Carolina or are stationed at a duty station in South Carolina for 30 days or longer
  • You present a valid military ID when you apply
