South Carolina Veterans Treatment Court Program

South Carolina Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office, serving Richland and Kershaw counties
Charges dismissed and expungement eligibility after at least 12 months of supervision

If you have pending charges in Richland or Kershaw county, this program can divert you out of the ordinary criminal justice system. You spend at least 12 months under the court’s supervision with help from fellow veteran mentors, the VA and veterans service organizations, and treatment can include anger management, domestic abuse counseling, family and marriage counseling, substance abuse and mental health counseling, and therapies aimed at PTSD and other combat trauma. Finishing the program successfully gets your charges dismissed and makes you eligible for expungement.
