South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation Veterans’ Employment Assistance

South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation, Job Service offices
No-cost employment services with priority of service

You can get specialized help finding work at South Dakota Job Service offices: intensive services for disabled veterans, in-person orientation sessions, job search information, resume and cover letter help, interview preparation, eligibility checks for veteran training programs, information on applying for federal, state, county and city jobs, help for newly separated or transitioning service members, a military-to-civilian skills crosswalk and direct referrals to job openings. Veterans get priority of service at local offices and in training programs. Spouses and surviving spouses also qualify when the veteran died of a service-connected condition, has a total and permanent service-connected disability, or the service member has been listed as missing in action or a prisoner of war for 90 days or more.
