South Dakota Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

South Dakota Department of Education, through the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission
Enrollment, placement, eligibility and graduation protections for military children

South Dakota belongs to the interstate compact that smooths school moves for military children. It speeds up enrollment when records have not arrived, keeps differences between states in attendance rules, scheduling, course sequencing, grading, course content and assessment from holding your child back, protects eligibility for programs and for academic, athletic and social activities, and helps your child graduate on time.
