Every Massachusetts National Guard service member is covered by $1,000 of life insurance at no cost, and you can buy up to $1,000,000 of voluntary group coverage on top of that. You are covered 24 hours a day in every military occupation, including in combat and on deployment, claims are paid within 24 to 48 hours of proof of loss, premiums can be payroll deducted, and coverage does not end and rates do not rise when you leave the National Guard. Spouse and children coverage is also available.
