Tennessee has no general individual income tax, so residents do not file an individual state income tax return. Distributions from the Thrift Savings Plan are not taxed. The Hall income tax on interest and dividend income was fully repealed effective with the 2021 tax year, so there is no longer any individual income tax of any kind.
