The National Guard Association of Tennessee offers voluntary group life insurance to Tennessee National Guard members and their families. Every Guard member is covered for $1,000 at no cost. Newly serving members get $10,000 of coverage free for their first 12 months. You can buy $10,000 to $50,000 of coverage with rates starting at $4.40 a month, enhanced coverage up to $270,000 if you are currently serving, and coverage for a spouse and dependents. Policies can be converted to whole life, covering you to age 121.
