You can take leave for qualifying situations that arise from a family member’s deployment if you are a Tennessee state employee and the spouse, child or parent of a service member on active duty or called to active duty to deploy to a foreign country. The qualifying circumstances are broad and are listed in section 6.08 of the state attendance and leave manual.
Request military exigency leave from your agency’s human resources office and give them the service member’s orders.
The service member’s active duty or deployment orders, and proof of your relationship to them.
