Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Professional Licensing Benefits for Service Members, Veterans and Spouses

Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
Military experience credited toward licensing, plus two extra renewal years, no late fees and waived examinations

You can use your military experience and training to meet the requirements for a Texas occupational licence. If your licence, or your spouse’s, expired while you were on active duty, you get two extra years to renew, no late renewal fees, an expedited renewal and a waiver of the examination requirement. Out-of-state licences you already hold are processed on an expedited basis, and military spouses get help transferring a licence from another state and expedited handling of new licence applications.
