Texas National Guard State Tuition Assistance Program

Texas Military Department, Education Services Office
Up to 12 credit hours per semester, capped at $10,000 per semester, or $4,500 per semester at a private school

You can get your tuition and mandatory fees paid at a qualifying Texas school while you serve in the Texas Military Department. Assistance runs up to the equivalent of 12 credit hours, for 10 semesters or five years, and no more than $10,000 per semester. Awards at private schools are worked out from the average public school award each semester, up to $4,500 per semester. Only fall and spring semesters count, and out-of-state tuition, incomplete, dropped or failed classes, and non-credit continuing education are not reimbursed.
